Shawn Bradshaw - LEAD
I had the privilege to grow up in a Christian home with parents who loved the Lord and sacrificed to put me and my sister through Christian school. I was saved at an early age. At the age of 5, my family loaded up and went to Sunday School and church. It was in a children's church where I was taught the
Bible, and learned songs about the Lord. One Sunday I was listening intently, trying not to get into trouble, and Brother Bill Wisely preached about heaven and hell and how we are not assured of tomorrow. For the rest of that afternoon I thought about that and I remember looking at a clock my parents had thinking time is running out, so that night my dad walked me down the isle and I asked Jesus to come into my heart at my church.
The Lord did not save me out of any great sin, not sure how much sin a 5 year old can get into. I do know he saved me from a life of sorrow and heartache for things I could have gotten into. I am so fortunate God allowed me to have the Christian parents I did who took me to church every time the doors were opened. It built a foundation that I still stand on today and put a love in my heart for gospel music.
